We were travelling with a 1 year old baby and were worried if we’ll be able to do this trip around Sri Lanka for 7 days. Once we arrived at rhe airport Mr. Romesh met us and took care of every little detail, comfort, planning, sightseeing and even babysitting whenever needed so that we could enjoy the sights. More than a driver I can say we got an extended family member in Mr. Romesh as they went out of their way and invited us to their home to celebrate our babys birthday and even made an amazing lunch for us. The hospitality ,care and warmth extended by them and Mr. Dilshaan is the highlight of our Sri Lanka trip.

Fantastic service! Highly recommend. We booked a driver through Sri Lanka Driver hire to drive my husband and I and our 2 year old daughter for 12 days around Sri Lanka. The communication before our trip was excellent – Dilshaan answered all my questions and was very helpful with suggestions of things to see as well as answering my queries. We requested a car seat for my daughter and had several options to choose from. Our driver, Mr Rishan was wonderful, from the minute he picked us up he was kind, courteous and incredibly helpful. He drove really carefully and safely which made me feel very at ease especially as we had our daughter with us. He suggested several things to do and see on our journey which were great. He went out of his way to help us on numerous occasions and generally made our trip really easy and enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better driver.

In Sri Lanka we met our driver Ahmed, he gave us the best possible experience and he made us feel very welcome. Ahmed is very friendly and he speaks good english. Everyday we got fresh water, and on the first day we received a Simcard to always have internet, wich was very helpfull. Also he learned us lot about Sri Lanka and the culture and history. I contacted Dilshaan for a 10 day tour around Sri Lanka with my family. He was extremely reactive and answered all of my questions within 10 minutes. We were assigned Aniyas as our driver and he was fantastic, turned up at the airport with flowers and a local SIM card which was the perfect start. I’d been staying in Sri Lanka for a while and pretty much had a good idea of what we wanted to see but the best moments of our stay were the places suggested by Aniyas – Tea Factory in Kandy, roadside lunch in Sigiriya, Spice Garden in Matale and Turtle Farm in Galle – all fantastic experiences. The vehicle was always spotless and well supplied with water and Aniyas was always careful during our long journeys. Even the roadside stops were enjoyable – tasting king coconuts and close encounters with monkeys. We can’t thank Dilshaan and Aniyas enough for their service and help during our stay, it was magical.

Wij hebben een geweldige vakantie gehad dankzij onze privéchauffeur Jiffry! Hij bood veel meer dan alleen zijn service, hij kon namelijk veel vertellen over de cultuur en het land en gaf ons veel tips. Ook was hij buitengewoon vriendelijk. Daarbij dacht hij goed aan onze veiligheid en dacht mee met onze reisplanning. Hij wist veel over de locaties en waar wij op moesten letten. Al met al zonder hem was de vakantie niet compleet geweest! Ik zou hem aan iedereen aanraden als je op zoek bent naar een privéchauffeur die meer bied dan alleen van A naar B rijden.

We got the best possible driver, Anees. Anees is always kind and smiling, but most importantly drives safely and is helpful. He arrived on time every morning and so all the sights fit into our planned time. I would definitely recommend Anees if you are booking a car with a driver. Anees is the best.
Car:
There were five of us, so we booked a Mini Van. We received a clean, comfortable and air-conditioned car. Anees prepared fresh water in the car for us every day. We also received 1 free internet card.

If I could give this company 10 stars I would!! It started off with me letting the company know which places we wanted to see in Sri Lanka. With a very quick response, they set me up with an itinerary that would accommodate what our group wanted to see. They set us up with a driver, Sabry. But our flights ended up getting delayed like 15 hours, and Sabry waited for us at the airport 🥹 the rest of the week–he was literally a God send! Our group of nine were able to see everything that each of us wanted. He was patient with our wild group, he was great with giving us food recommendations, along with making sure we could soak in every part of Sri Lanka. Truly we couldn’t have done this trip without him.

We hired a car and driver for our 9 day trip across Sri Lanka. We selected Sri Lanka Driver Hire based on general research and Trip Advisor reviews. The booking process was simple and easy – all through WhatsApp. They confirmed all the details to ensure accuracy and availability of the desired car type and driver. Our driver was Mr. Jiffry who was professional, easy to work with, and an excellent driver. We had created our own itinerary, and it was our first trip to Sri Lanka. Mr. Jiffry made very helpful suggestions on our itinerary to ensure we got the maximum value for our time in the country and at the specific stops we wanted to make. In addition, he made the 3-4 hour drives between cities even more pleasant with little surprises like king coconuts and fresh fruit that he’d picked from his own garden.
The price also seemed overall fair for the service we received. The car itself was exactly as advertised, and Mr. Jiffry ensured it was clean and in good condition every day.
We would strongly recommend Sri Lanka Driver Hire, and would use them again in future trips to Sri Lanka.

We spent 16 days in Sri Lanka, and we had the same driver from Sri Lanka driver hire then entire periode. Our trip was Colombo, Anaradhapura, Kandy, Nuvara Eliya, Ella, Arugam Bay, Yala and Merissa. Our driver Risan is a very experienced driver, and he made us feel very safe in the trafic, he is a calm driver with a nice overview of the trafic, and the car we drove in were spacious. Besides from that he is also very helpfull. He was at our service when ever we needed him, made sure we had water for the day, and he gave us advise about where to go and what to see. Our driver (Risan) also helped us getting tickets for the temples and for our train trip. All in all we were very pleased with the service, and with Risans pleasant company. We can highly recomand Risan and Sri Lanka driver hire as a service for your holliday. We had a wonderfull time.

Sabry was so much more than just a driver. We had a plan of the things that we wanted to see, he helped us time them so that they were on the way to something. He also chimed in when it made more sense to do a hike in the evening versus in the morning. He knew how to avoid the crowds. As we were driving, he would be coordinating guides for us. All of his recommendations were top-notch. He even saved us from a six-hour train ride by driving up half the distance so that we could fit in a tea plantation tour instead of being stuck on a train for the full 6 hours. He was friendly and available with ideas, but not pushy. He looked out for us when making purchases to make sure we weren’t being taken advantage of. He was just an incredible guy, also very safe and careful in terms of driving. We can’t recommend him enough. Sri Lanka is one of the most incredible countries and having a great driver means so much more than we had anticipated. And guess what? We also got engaged on this trip! We arrived Sri Lanka on the 28/3/2023 and was received by Mr Irshad (our driver) humbly. It was a 5nights 6 days tour and Mr Irshad have taken a good care of me and my husband. He was punctual, polite and extremely humble. There was not even a day where he was late.
He stopped us at clean rest room areas and clean places to eat including street foods. Without any hesitation, he allowed us to restructure our itinerary on an ad hoc basis.
